Federal Skilled Worker Program

Canadian Experience Class
Temporary foreign workers or foreign students who have graduated in Canada are eligible to apply for permanent residence in this category. There are various criteria that must be fulfilled in order to qualify under the Canadian Experience Class. The National Occupational Codes (NOC) eligible for this category are Skill Type O, Skill Level A & B, with the exception of a few hospitality and food service based positions. Provincial Nominee Programs
Provincial Nominee programs are employer and provincially driven programs which allows for them to nominate individuals who wish to settle in a particular province. Applications can be made through immigration consultants but must be submitted and processed through the particular province you wish to settle in. Each province has its own programs and eligibility criteria. Your application will be assessed on various factors, similar to the Federal Skilled Worker program. The only programs that require settlement funds are the Federal Skilled Worker and Business Class Programs. The Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee programs (with the exception of Provincial Business Class) DO NOT require settlement funds.
