The provincial nominee business programs in the different provinces have their specific criteria but a common theme in all provinces is to give priority to candidates who demonstrate the greatest potential to create a successful business and contribute economically to the province.

Citizenship and Business Immigration Canada requires business provincial nominees to show that they have enough money to support dependents after arriving in Canada and nominee and family members must pass medical examinations and background checks.
